Job Description
Job Duties:

Gathers and assembles electrical components to create a safe and useful power source.

Installs electrical components on mechanical units; tests and troubleshoots completed assemblies. Helps make design layouts for electrical parts.

Assembles components to create saleable product of all complexities. Builds and wires motorized product and makes sure all guards and covers are installed after paint.

Builds and wires motorized components. Makes sure all limit switches are located per print.

Troubleshoots automated, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components during assembly process and resolves issues.

Helps perform proof tests on all units and corrects deficiencies. May make mocked up electrical boxes, as needed, to attach parts to the proof testing equipment.

Occasionally performs mechanical assembly and testing per print. May use drilling, tapping and other assembly tools.

Performs proof test on all units and corrects deficiencies. Makes jigs, as needed, to attach parts to the proof testing equipment.

For some units, boxes and/or puts on skids, affixes labels and packing slip in preparation for shipment.

May move in-process materials to the paint area and finished goods to the shipping department.

Maintains a safe work environment. Reports defective tools and equipment.

Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
Requirements:

Minimum High School or equivalent education
-
Electrical certificate, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years electrical assembly experience

Minimum 5 years mechanical assembly experience (to print)

Minimum 2 years SolidWorks for electrical experience

Excellent attention to detail

Working knowledge of electrical circuitry and design

Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Ability to use voltage meters, amp meters, hand tools, and power tools

Knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, employee is continuously required to stand; frequently required to walk, twist/turn, and stoop or bend; and occasionally must push/pull, squat, crawl/kneel, climb, balance, drive (forklift) reach overhead, engage in repetitive hand/wrist motion and forearm rotation, and lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
