Material Handler

Job Description

  • Kits stock and/or sales order jobs from the work center priority report list, based on what is ready to be kitted and coming due
  • Routes kitted jobs to their designated staging areas
  • Routes kitted jobs to next operation based on the priority order from the foremen
  • Picks up all green-tagged parts and takes them to the next staging area whether for OPPNT, painted in-house, outside operation, etc.
  • Puts away stock or sales order parts that are not ready for kitting in the designated location
  • Demonstrates the Caldwell Values in all work activities
  • Manufacturing receipts stock parts into inventory
  • Maintains clean and safe work environment
  • Complies with all safety rules and regulations


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year forklift experience
  • One year overhead crane experience
  • Proven ability to read a tape measure
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints a plus
  • Ability to use a PC

Physical Requirements: Frequently required to stand, sit, walk and stoop; bend, kneel or crouch; talk or hear. Regularly required to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to see with corrected vision to nearly 20/20 or better and to differentiate colors.
