The Caldwell Group’s goal to supply high quality, long-lasting lifting products that will increase productivity and reduce operating costs in a safe and efficient manner. All Krane-King® Cranes are designed to be used with hoists and trolleys. Their rated capacity includes a design load that takes into account the weight of the hoist and trolley, as well as an impact loading. In addition to hoists, cranes can be categorized into four types:
Gantry Cranes
Krane-King® Gantry Cranes move on any level floor and yield versatile, “goes anywhere” floor coverage. Caldwell supplies aluminum and steel fixed height, adjustable height/span, and 1-8 ton capacity gantry cranes. With optional features for assisting Krane-King® gantry cranes, Caldwell supplies wheel brakes, swivel locks, floor rocks, adjustable level kits, V-Groove wheels/end stops, and power drive kits for all steel & aluminum gantry cranes.
Free Standing Jib Cranes
Krane-King® Free Standing Jib Cranes mount to a floor or poured foundation and yield 360° circular floor coverage. Caldwell supplies base mounted, foundation mounted, a sleeve mounted, and ¼ - 5-ton capacity Krane-King® Free Standing Jib Cranes. With optional features for assisting Krane-King® Free Standing Jib Cranes, Caldwell supplies anchor belts, power cord tag line kits, rational stops, top or bottom entry electric collector rings, and more.
Tension & Cantilevered Jib Cranes
Roll lifting beams are used to lift rolls with plate style or bent bar J-hooks. These hooks are designed to support the core mandrel through the I.D. of the roll. Fixed beam lengths can be used for single roll widths. Maximum roll diameters will determine the length of the J-hooks. Caldwell also provides roll gripping tongs, roll grabs, roll lifting C-hooks, motorized roll lifters, roll positioners, and more.
Hoists
Caldwell supplies various hoist options and packages for our Krane-King® jib and gantry cranes, including hoist packages, electric chain hoists, push trolleys, electric chain hoists, and mini air hoists. Krane-King® Hoists are used in many applications, including (but not limited to) food-grade, pharmaceutical, and are perfect for harsh environments such as power plants, oil refineries, shipyards, mines, and more.

Caldwell Upholds to Industry Standards
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has developed standards that apply specifically to the devices Caldwell® designs. ASME B30.20 provides detailed information on the classifications, marking, construction, installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and operation of below the hook lifting devices. ASME BTH-1 provides detailed information on the design criteria of below the hook lifting devices. ASME B30.9 provides detailed information on the fabrication, markings, usage, inspection, and maintenance of lifting slings. These standards serve as a guide to government authorities, manufacturers, purchasers and users of lifting devices.
