Lif-Truc

The Caldwell Group has been designing and manufacturing lifting equipment since 1954. It is our goal to produce high quality, long-lasting lifting products that will increase productivity and reduce operating costs safely and efficiently. LIF-TRUC™ beams and other products can be separated into six categories:

Booms

Procure the extra reach you need with our Extended Fork Lift Boommove. Caldwell supplies fixed-length, extended, telescopic, telescopic pivoting, precision lifting, carriage jib, and reach over forklift booms. Caldwell supplies numerous product features for assisting all OSHA and ANST/ITSDF compliant LIF-TRUC™ Booms, indicating any modifications and additions to a fork truck require prior written approval from the original fork truck manufacturer.

Drum Handling

LIF-TRUC™ Drum Lifter/Dumpers are designed to safely and economically lift, travel with, and dump 55-gallon metal drums into acceptable containers. These same metal drums will also fit our lifter/rotators, which are designed to be used with lift trucks in areas where overhead hoists are not an option. Caldwell also supplies steel drum grippers that attach to lift trucks easily and facilitate quick release of 55 or 30-gallon drums.

Fork Beams

Caldwell’s Fork Beams are specifically designed to make forklifts more versatile. Our customized fork beams provide positive handling of loads that may be otherwise impractical for forklifts. All of the LIF-TRUC™ Fork Beams we supply are strong, sturdy, easy to see, and even easier to attach, requiring no special wrenches or tools.

Battery Lifting Beams

Caldwell offers LIF-TRUC™ fiberglass battery lifting beams that are used for applications requiring non-conductive beams (such as lifting industrial forklift truck batteries). These specific lifting beams are acid-resistant and heavy-duty, yet lightweight - 70% more so than other beams. We also supply low headroom battery lifting beams that are acid-resistant, non-conductive, and adjustable to hand batteries that vary in length.

Rams & Extension

We supply durable, nylon fork covers that are specifically designed to protect loads that cannot be marred or scratched. Additionally, Caldwell supplies fork extensions that fit standard fork thickness, install easily onto existing forks, and are ideal for oversized loads. Our rug lifting rams are available for both Class II and Class III lift trucks, and they arrive with standard and heavy-duty designs.

Special Application

Pulling a heavy load? Caldwell’s custom-designed Heavy Duty Tow Bar is the solution you need. They provide added control over standard tow chains when moving heavy equipment weighing in at 10, 20, 30 tons, or more.

Caldwell’s Multiple Pipe Lifter can help you move your concrete pipe up to 3 times faster than a standard fork truck. We also offer a Porta-Platform, which is a heavy-duty 10 gauge diamond plate deck with 1,000-pound load capacity, and a Pallet Puller used to reach loaded pallets from flat surfaces and extend the reaching capability of the forklift truck. Additionally, our Trailer Spotter is an inexpensive and fast way to move trailers with your forklift truck.

quality & engineering

LIF-TRUC™ products are designed to adhere to OSHA and ANSI/ITSDF standards, which state that any modifications or additions to a fork truck require prior written approval from the original fork truck manufacturer. Please refer to OSHA specification 1910.178(a)(4) and ANSI/ITSDF specification B56.10-2006 4.2.1 for additional information.

Each Durable, Corrosion-Resistant LIF-TRUC™ Nameplate Includes:

  • Model Designation
  • Serial Number
  • Minimum Hydraulic Pressure (on hydraulically actuated attachments)
  • Weight (value to be accurate +/-5%)
  • Capacity
  • The following instruction (or equivalent): “Capacity of truck and attachment combination may be less than capacity shown on the attachment. Consult truck nameplate.”

Caldwell Upholds to Industry Standards

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has developed standards that apply specifically to the devices Caldwell® designs. ASME B30.20 provides detailed information on the classifications, marking, construction, installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and operation of below the hook lifting devices. ASME BTH-1 provides detailed information on the design criteria of below the hook lifting devices. ASME B30.9 provides detailed information on the fabrication, markings, usage, inspection, and maintenance of lifting slings. These standards serve as a guide to government authorities, manufacturers, purchasers and users of lifting devices.
