  • Industrial Painter - 1st Shift (#2025-26)

    Position Type: Full Time, First Shift | Pay Range: $19.69 - $29.53 per hour This position is responsible for prepping and painting components and finished assemblies per blueprint specifications. Other responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the paint booth and equipment. Job Duties: Sets-up equipment to perform painting operation. Applies latex paint to components and assemblies using an airless sprayer. May also apply oil-based paints or epoxy when noted on the print and/or traveler. Wipes down each piece with cleaner prior to paint application. Provides properly prepped pieces for paint operation and ensures proper adhesion of the finish. Takes apart, cleans and re-assembles the paint equipment. Cleans and maintains respirator daily. Cleans and maintains the paint booth and replaces filters, as required. Properly disposes of paint dust, paint waste and any flammables. Moves material to and from the paint booth area. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Reports defect tool and equipment to supervisor. Complies with all safety rules and regulations. Keeps barrels on containment skills and marked for proper disposal. Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum Work Experience: Two years’ experience painting, preferably in an industrial environment One year experience using a forklift One year experience using an overhead crane Minimum Skill Requirements: Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints Must be able to clean paint systems and spray guns Must be able to mix special paints Proven ability to read travelers Must have basic computer skills Physical Requirements: The employee is continuously required to stand; frequently required to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms; and occasionally must bend, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, push/pull or life up to 50 pounds and talk and listen.

Picks up all green tagged parts and takes them to the next staging area whether for OPPNT, painted in-house, outside operation, etc. Puts away stock or sales order parts that are not ready for kitting in the designated location. The location may be a temporary area in the Weld Warehouse. Manufacturing receipts stock parts into inventory. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Reports defective tools and equipment. Complies with all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrates the Caldwell values in all work activities.   • Mechanical Design Engineer (#2025-15)

    This position is responsible processing the critical engineering tasks necessary to support the below-the-hook product lines in facets including research, development, design, testing, analysis, production, etc. Performs complex engineering assignments requiring the application of standard techniques and procedures. Oversees engineering tests to determine quality, durability, and overall product satisfaction and use. Job Duties: Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and design requirements. Using knowledge of engineering principles, researches, designs, evaluates, and maintains designs of standard products including weldments and drive systems, equipment, systems and processes. Analyzes and validates structural design and conducts stress analysis. Partners with the Sales team to gather all necessary information from customers on special/custom products. Addresses and resolves functional, structural or scheduling issues raised by the Designers. Works with the fabrication team to resolve design variances for work in process and establish improvement for future builds. Provides engineering guidance to Designers and manufacturing team members with regard to drawing changes. When changes to WIP prints are identified, identifies required changes to additional and/or master drawings and causes them to be corrected. Oversees the Designers’ use of computerized design tools and ensures basic stress analysis is appropriate. Approves jobs and drawings for other designers and design engineers. Complies with all safety requirements.     Position Type: Full Time | Pay Rate: $19 - $26.58 This position is responsible for pulling stocked inventory from the shelves and securing tags and decals as required. Other duties include palletizing and packaging goods for shipment, loading trucks and some in this position may complete small assembly tasks. Job Duties: Puts completed parts onto appropriate shelves and enters information to add them into inventory totals. Affixes tags and decals to product according to the work instructions in the tagging book. May perform engraving operation to create tags when called out on the traveller. Adds appropriate hardware to shipments. Applies touch-up paint to areas that may have become scuffed during material handling operations. Builds crates and skids necessary to package product before shipping. Packages and/or palletizes shipments. Matches shipping paperwork with correct product and loads trucks. May perform small and final assembly operations. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Reports defective tools and equipment. Complies with all safety requirements and maintains a clean work station. Demonstrates the Caldwell values in all work activities.
