The Caldwell Group is pleased to welcome Melissa Searle as the newest member of its sales engineering team. Bringing nearly a decade of manufacturing experience from Laclede Chain Manufacturing Company LLC, Melissa adds a strong combination of engineering expertise, operational leadership, and customer-focused problem solving to the Caldwell team.
Throughout her career, Melissa has held a variety of engineering, product management, and operations leadership roles, building a reputation for developing practical solutions and working closely with customers. As a sales engineer at Caldwell, she will support customers across the company's complete portfolio of lifting products, helping develop custom lifters and engineered lifting systems that solve complex lifting challenges.
Caldwell's product offering includes below-the-hook lifters, construction lifters, mill-duty lifters, Renfroe clamps, and RUD lifting points. Through its partnership with the RUD Group, Caldwell also offers a comprehensive portfolio of slings and lifting points designed to meet the demands of even the most challenging lifting applications.

For Melissa, joining Caldwell represented an opportunity to continue growing both professionally and personally.
"I was looking for a role that would challenge me, broaden my experience, and allow me to continue developing as a leader," she said. "Caldwell offers a unique combination of technical, commercial, and leadership opportunities that made it feel like the right next step. I was especially drawn to the opportunity to combine technical problem-solving with direct customer engagement."
While she's eager to contribute immediately, Melissa also looks forward to expanding her knowledge across Caldwell's broad range of products and industries.
"Having spent nearly ten years in a specialized area of manufacturing, there's definitely a learning curve," she said. "But that's one of the things that excited me most about this opportunity. I'm looking forward to learning from the team, gaining experience across new products and markets, and continuing to grow."
Helping Customers Lift with Confidence
Melissa has built her career around helping customers overcome engineering, product, and operational challenges. At Caldwell, she'll continue that mission by partnering with customers to develop safe, reliable lifting solutions for real-world applications.
"Coming from a specialized manufacturing background, the opportunity to learn a broader range of products and industries is incredibly motivating," Melissa said. "I genuinely enjoy learning, and I'm excited to keep expanding my knowledge."
What ultimately convinced her to join Caldwell, however, wasn't just the products.
"The people made the biggest impression on me," she said. "I'd had the opportunity to meet several members of the Caldwell team over the years, and those interactions really showed me what the company is about. The variety of work and opportunities here are exciting, but it was the culture and the people that made this feel like the right place."
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys staying active through running, strength training, and team sports. She recently began training for half marathons and is also an avid flag football player.
"Staying active gives me both a challenge and a chance to recharge," she said. "I also really value spending time with my family and friends. Time with my nephew is especially meaningful to me, and those relationships are what keep everything in perspective."
